Gloria began her journey into the world of
photography in the mid-1980's in California. Working in the
darkroom in her first black and white course awakened her artistic
creativity in a consuming way. Over the years it led her to
explore photography, pottery and drew her into the art world. She
managed two art galleries and represented local, national and
international artists. She worked with top interior designers and
was involved in selecting artwork for a Malibu Design House.
During this time Gloria was trained by a master framer as she chose
framing and matting to enhance works of art and fine art photographs.
As she evolved, she chose photography as her emphasis. Gloria
loves to capture those moments and pensive looks that are so revealing
and often touching.
Gloria began her professional career with a focus on horses and the
connection between the horse and those who love them. It is
exciting to catch sliding, jumping, cutting or horses racing on the polo
field at breakneck speed. Those action shots are great fun to
shoot. However, the desire to capture the emotions of the humans
involved led to an expansion of Wild Mane Photos.
Wild Mane Photos' expansion emphasizes the family. It focuses on
children including pregnancy, newborns, toddlers and all stages of
development including high school seniors. This new segment of business has opened exciting possibilities for our clients and keeps
Wild Mane Photos on the cutting edge of all the latest trends.
Gloria is a member of Professional Photographers of America,
Texas Professional Photographers, Southwest Professional Photographers and Equine Photographers Network.
She regularly attends professional seminars, state and national
photographers' conventions and local meetings to expand her horizons and
find new styles both classic and contemporary to offer her clients. Her work has appeared on
magazine covers, in magazine articles, in books and on a line of
clothing.
